Albany, CA (September 3, 2022) – Tommy Town homebred 2-year-old fillies Honorable Gal and It’sagrandillusion made their respective racing debuts in the 5th race at Golden Gate Fields. At the end of the five and one-half furlong maiden special weight contest, the filled the exacta with just a length separating the stablemates.

Their tactics could not have been more different. Honorable Gal popped right out of the gate and said catch me if you can. It’sagrandillusion did not break quickly and was nearly six lengths away from her stablemate with a quarter mile left to run. No one caught Honorable Gal on this day, and It’sagrandillusion closed well to gain the second place finish.

Honorable Gal is by Honor Code and she was produced by the multiple stakes-placed City Zip mare, Conquest City Girl. Both fillies are trained by Jonathan Wong.
