Tommy Town 2YOS 1-2 in Pleasanton Maiden
Pleasanton, CA (July 25, 2020) – Tommy Town Thoroughbreds LLC’s runners Warriors Hero and Sea Sailor, finished first and second in their career debuts today in the opener at Pleasanton.
A half-dozen juveniles lined up with the aforementioned pair in the outside posts. Neither showed speed down the backstretch and the kickback was especially bothersome to Sea Sailor. Around the turn, Warriors Hero went outside and Sea Sailor traveled the inside path. At the top of the stretch, a 1-2 finished appeared out of the questions, but they both offered a strong closing kick. Warriors Hero did just a bit better than his stablemate and he hit the wire a half-length best.
Warriors Hero is a homebred for the farm. Sired by Boisterous, he is out of the Warrior’s Reward mare, Warrior Princess, who is from the family of Kentucky Oaks winner, Gal in a Ruckus. Sea Sailor was bred by Tommy Town in partnership with Jerry Hollendorfer. He is by Ministers Wild Cat out of the Stormy Atlantic mare, Sea Creature. They are trained by Jonathan Wong.
