Charles Town, WV (May 4, 2022) – Tiz a Country Girl, our 3-year-old daughter of Tiznow, made her second start of the season her first victory over winners in the feature race at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town, a seven furlong allowance.

A winner in two starts last year at two, Tiz a Country Girl was bet down to 4/5 favoritism despite drawing the outside post in the field of ten. She quickly overcame her post and established a stalking position second. She began her bid four and one-half furlongs from home and was the clear leader at the top of the stretch. She drew away in that final furlong to win by nearly four lengths.

Bred in West Virginia by James Franklin Miller, she is trained by Todd Beattie. Her dam is the winning Lemon Drop Kid mare, Mantekilla.
