Stanford Son Special Moment Wins Startac Stakes

Phoenix, AZ (January 18, 2023) – Special Moment, the 3-year-old son of Stanford, rallied from last to first to win the $60,000 Startac Stakes* going seven and one-half furlongs over the firm turf course at Turf Paradise.

The Tommy Town-bred gelding galloped along in back through the opening half-mile. Coming three wide around the final turn, he moved further our for the final furlong. He closed with every stride and got up in closing moments to win by three-quaters of a length.
