Florence, KY (December 1, 2022) – Opening Buzz, our homebred 3-year-old daughter of Stanford, raced for the first time under the lights at Turfway Park and she came away an impressive winner of the 6th race, a six and one-half furlong allowance over the all weather.

A field of twelve fillies and mares lined-up with Opening Buzz drawing the number eight post. She did not break quickly and was eleventh after the opening quarter-mile. Beginning to draw closer, jockey Ricardo Santana, Jr. asked her to circle the field around the far turn and she was widest of all at the top of the stretch. She closed stoutly, caught the leaders and drew away as much the best to win by four and one-half lengths in the snappy time of 1:16.17.

Opening Buzz has now won three of her five starts and she has earned $105,961. Trained by Jonathan Wong, she was produced by the Unbridled’s Song mare, Open Mic.
