Charles Town, WV (April 13, 2022) – Stand by You, our 4-year-old daughter of Munnings, proved much the best as the favorite, despite early trouble, in the 7th race at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.

A field of seven were in the gate for the $33,600 six and one-half furlong allowance. Stand by You stumbled at the break and found herself at the back of the field in the two-turn dash. That misfortune often leads to disaster, especially in a sprint, but the dark bay would have none of that. Widest of all the entire trip, she roared down the backstretch and the lead was hers as the field hit the final turn. It was hands and heels the rest of the trip as she opened up to win unchallenged by seven and one-half lengths.

Stand by You was bred by Silesia Farm and she is out of the winning Medaglia d’Oro mare, Medaglia d’Argento. Trained by Todd Beattie, she has won or placed in six of her ten lifetime starts.
