Cypress, CA (June 24, 2023) – Stan From Malibu overcame hitting the gate as the race began to come home best in the opening race on the Los Alamitos card, a six furlong maiden special weight.

Quickly recovering from the starting mishap, the 3-year-old Stanford gelding loomed on the outside to keep the pacesetter honest. Wide around the turn and into the stretch, he put away the leader and then faced new challenger who came calling. He dug in with great determination to hold off that challenger and win by a hard fought neck.

Stan From Malibu is a homebred racing for Timothy Hammer. Trained by Carla Gaines, he is out of the winning High Brite mare, Real Bright Boots.
