Stalking Shadow Charges to Allowance Victory

Albany, CA (March 26, 2021) – Tommy Town Thoroughbreds’ homebred Stalking Shadow stepped out of starter allowance company into open allowance company and the 3-year-old son of Ministers Wild Cat tallied his third win from four starts this season.

A field of seven lined-up for the 7th race at Golden Gate, all chasing the winner’s share of the $40,642 purse at the end of the mile trip on the all weather. Stalking Shadow was away in good order and took up position a half-dozen lengths off the pacesetters. The margin remained down the backstretch and he began to close the gap around the far turn. He still have a fair distance to make-up at the top of the stretch and the leader wasn’t stopping. With a furlong to run, it looked as though he would run a solid second. With the wire coming quickly, he found a final burst of speed and got up in the two jumps to win by a neck.

Taking his lifetime bankroll to $68,920, Stalking Shadow comes from the barn of trainer Jonathan Wong. He is out of the six-time winning Petionville mare, Silent Stalk.
