Arcadia, CA (April 9, 2022) – Scenic Masterpiece, our 3-year-old Candy Ride filly who has placed in her two previous starts, found the third time is a charm as she earned her maiden special weight diploma in speedy fashion going six furlongs over the firm turf course at Santa Anita.

Drawing post six in the field of nine, Scenic Materpiece was a bit tardy away from the gate and was six lengths off the lead after the opening quarter. From there, she started to roll and took herself up into second as the field hit the top of the stretch. She only had the leader to catch and two lengths to make up. She accomplished both tasks passing the sixteenth pole and she opened up to win by nearly two lengths. Her final time was a swift 1:08.67

Scenic Masterpiece was bred by Machmer Hall and she is out of the multiple stakes-winning Rockport Harbor mare, Heidi Maria. She is trained by Jonathan Wong.
