S Y Sky Finalist for Cal-bred Horse of the Year

Arcadia, CA (January 29, 2020) – S Y Sky, the daughter of Grazen, is a finalist for California-bred Horse of the Year!

During her 5-year-old season. S Y Sky was first or second in seven of her eight starts. She defeated Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1) Belvoir Bay in the Monrovia Stakes (G3). She also came back victorious in the Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Turf Sprint Stakes at Santa Anita and the Camilla Urso Stakes at Golden Gate Fields. She also placed in the Spring Fever Stakes, Irish O’Brien Stakes, and the Daisycutter Handicap.

Produced by the Sky Mesa mare, Sky Marni, she races for her breeder, Nick Alexander and she is trained by Phil D’Amato. She sports an impressive career record of 7-7-1 in 16 starts and she has earned $709,540.
