No Longer Silent Returns a Winner at Golden Gate

Albany, CA (August 20, 2020) – It was a tough fight, but Tommy Town Thoroughbreds LLC’s No Longer Silent earned the third win of his career in his 2020 debut, the 6th race at Golden Gate Fields, a $41,200 allowance over the all weather.

The 3-year-old Ministers Wild Cat gelding tracked the leaders from third down the backstretch of the six furlong contest. He saved his best running for the final two furlongs. Coming three wide, he took the lead at the top of the stretch. A tenacious closer, carrying twelve pounds less, came calling in the final eighth. No Longer Silent had every reason to fold, with his last start coming nine months ago, but he did not. He kept on to the wire and earned his victory by a nose. He stopped the clock in 1:09.96

A Tommy Town homebred, he is out of the winning Petionville mare, Silent Stalk. Trained by Jonathan Wong, No Longer Silent has won or placed in five of his seven starts and has earned $85,100.
