My Kentucky Girl Dominates Keeneland Allowance

Lexington, KY (October 29, 2022) – My Kentucky Girl, our 3-year-old daughter of American Pharoah, unleashed a powerful stretch run to win her Keeneland debut, a $110,000 allowance race going seven furlongs over the fast main track.

A maiden winner at Santa Anita earlier this season, My Kentucky Girl did not get out of the gate well. She and jockey Chris Landeros were eighth of nine after the opening quarter. She got rolling around the final turn, and the right lanes opened up at the right time. She found clear running in the two path at the top of the stretch, came flying past the leaders up the inside. She galloped alone to the wire, winning impressively by five lengths.

Bred in Kentucky by Stonehaven Steadings, My Kentucky Girl was produced by stakes-placed Big Brown mare, Easy Living. She is trained by Jonathan Wong.
