Ministers Wild Cat’s Colt Fiction Best in Santa Anita Allowance
Arcadia, CA (April 10, 2021) – Colt Fiction, the son of Ministers Wild Cat, engaged in a match race within a race and came out on top in the 6th race at Santa Anita, a seven furlong allowance over the fast main track with a purse of $77,108.
Starting from post three, his main competitor was in post two and from the the break, they were in a race of their own. The two entered the stretch still battling it out. The final outcome only became clear inside the final sixteenth. Colt Fiction took the lead and opened a three-quarter length advantage at the wire. It was more than seven lengths back to the third place finisher.
The 6-year-old gelding has been only been out of the top three only one time in nine career starts and he has earned $151,268 for owners Jay and Julie Manoogian. He is trained by Bill Spawr. Bred by Robert Mitchell, he was produced by the Eddington mare, Devilish Pro.
Colt Fiction is the 21st individual winner for Ministers Wild Cat in 2021.
