Ministers Wild Cat Filly Remains Undefeated with Coca Cola Stakes Win

Auburn, WA (August 6, 2020) – Daffodil Sweet is proving to be a very special filly in the little more than a month long career. She remained unbeaten in her first three starts with a dominant victory in the $40,000 Coca Cola Stakes going six and one-half furlongs at Emerald Downs.

The 3-year-old daughter of Ministers Wild Cat has won by open lengths each time. She debuted on July 2 with an eight and three-quarter maiden special romp. Moving up against winners on July 20, including older runners, she scored by seven and three-quarters.
Today, the frontrunning miss duplicated her frontrunning effort in stakes company and the result another open length win.

Overcoming a step-slow start, Daffodil Sweet, quickly got to the front and engaged in a duel in the early going. She began to open up three furlongs from home and was ridden out to a six length advantage at the wire. She has won her first three starts by a total of twenty-two and one-half lengths.

Bred in California by Michael Terry, the bay filly is out of the winning Lion Heart mare, Easy on my Heart. She races for the partnership of One Horse Will Do Corporation and Steve Shimizu and she is trained by Chris Stenslie
