Phoenix, AZ (January 21, 2021) – Alberta Sun, the 3-year-old daughter of Ministers Wild Cat, was the swiftest qualifier of the four trials, (including the boys), held today for the ATBA Sales Stakes at Turf Paradise.
Alberta Sun chased the early pacesetters and was forced to go five wide around the turn and into the stretch. She collared the leader inside the final furlong and drove on to win by nearly three lengths. Her final time for the five and one-half furlong main track test was 1:03.84. None of the other trails broke the 1:04 mark.
Racing for Randy Howg, she is from the barn of trainer Robertino Diodoro. Bred in Arizona by Fleming Thoroughbred Farm, LLC, she is out of the winning Tabasco Cat mare, Drifa.
