Arcadia, CA (February 20, 2017)-Ministers Curl got her first win with a stretch battle, with the 3-5 favorite, and prevailing at the wire. The filly defeated a full field of maiden Cal-bred sophomores fillies running for a claiming price of $50,000.
Ministers Curl “had speed between horses then angled in, dueled inside, inched clear in the stretch and held on gamely under urging.”
This three-year-old daughter of Ministers Wild Cat and French Curls (by Curlin) was bred by JP Stables and is owned by Pinner Family Trust. She has earned $23,620 from her three lifetime starts that include a second place finish last out.
