Minister of Soul Blazes to Canterbury Park Stakes Win
Shakopee, MN (September 16, 2021) – Minister of Soul, made quick work of the $50,000 Tom Metzen H. P. B. A. Stakes going six furlongs over the fast main track at Canterbury Park.
The son of Ministers Wild Cat dashed away from post four and was intent on getting the lead. There was another with the same idea and two kept each other company through a 21.35 opening quarter. Minister of Soul held a half-length lead as he blazed a half in 43.56. That was enough for his company and he opened up through the stretch, passing five furlongs in 55.86 and hitting the wire more than four lengths best. His final time was 1.08.98, 4/5 of a second off the track record.
