Make Mine Wine Debuts a Winner

Arcadia, CA (January 15, 2022) – Make Mine Wine, our homebred 3-year-old colt, made a winning debut going six furlongs over the fast main track at Santa Anita Park.

Showing good gate speed, he pressed the leader down the backstretch. Drawing even around the turn, he was the clear leader at the top of the stretch. Jockey Diego Herrera asked him to finish and he did, drawing away to win by three and one-half lengths.

Make Mine Wine is a California-bred by Overanalyze and he is the sixth winner produced by his dam, the stakes-placed Distorted Humor mare, Knockout Bertie. He is trained by Jonathan Wong.
