Magnolia’s Hope Best in Del Mar Maiden

Del Mar, CA (August 21, 2020) – As any lady will tell you, a problem with a shoe at the beginning of an outing is counterproductive to the task at hand. Magnolia’s Hope, our homebred daughter of Ministers Wild Cat, did not let a shoe repair in the paddock keep her away from the winner’s circle, breaking her maiden in the 4th race at Del Mar.

Carrying co-highweight, Magnolia’s Hope had the far outside post in the field of ten. Quickly away in the six furlong contest, she opened a clear lead and never looked back, taking the field wire-to-wire to win by a length.

Magnolia’s Hope is trained by Jonathan Wong. She is a full sister to the stakes performers Run for Retts and Whine for Wine. They were all produced by the stakes winning Jump Start mare, Mrs. Began.
