Arcadia, CA (January 1, 2021) – Let’s Rejoyce, the newly turned 4-year-old son of Kafwain, started the new year off with a solid victory in the 8th race at Santa Anita, a six furlong allowance with a purse of $42,320.
A homebred racing for Tommy Town Thoroughbreds, Let’s Rejoyce has been a model of consistency, having been second or third in his last four outings. Making his first start over the main track at the Arcadia oval, he found it very much to his liking. Pressing the pace while saving ground, he put away the pacemaker at the eighth pole and rolled along through the stretch to win by two and one-quarter lengths. He stopped the clock in a nifty 1:09.20.
Trained by Jonathan Wong, Let’s Rejoyce has won or placed in seven of his nine career starts. He is out of the winning Discreet Cat mare, Joyce and Me.
