Jive Talkin Powers to Golden Gate Allowance Victory
Albany, CA (March 28, 2020) – Jive Talkin made it two wins in three 2020 starts with his victory in the 3rd race at Golden Gate Fields, a six furlong allowance over the all weather.
The Tommy Town homebred was away sharply and pressed the pace through an opening quarter of 22:08. The lead was his as the half was completed in 45.18. Asked by jockey Silvio Amador to put the field away coming off the final turn, Jive Talkin threw down a sub-twelve second furlong and the race was over. He drew away and was much the best at the wire, finishing the trip in a zippy 1:09.32.
The 3-year-old son of City Zip is out of the graded stakes winning Tommy Town-bred Old Topper mare, Top Kisser. The Jonathan Wong trainee is moving from strength-to-strength as he takes his career record to two wins, a second and a third in five starts.
