Grazen Filly Wins Tranquility Lake Stakes at Del Mar

Courtesy of Del Mar (September 5, 2022) – Teddy’s Barino battled through the lane and got up by a head for rider Mike Smith in the Tranquility Lake Stakes, an overnight event for older fillies and mares that carried a $131,000 purse.

Finishing second was race favorite Samurai Charm, owned by Downstream Racing, who was more than 10 lengths ahead of the third-place horse, Sarah Kelly and Jane Wiltz’s Velvet Slippers.

Teddy’s Barino, who is trained by Mark Glatt, picked up a first-place prize of $78,000 and increased her career earnings to $297,090. The 4-year-old gray filly by Grazen ran the distance in 1:35.59 and paid $6.00 to win.
