Arcadia, CA (May 28, 2023) – Stanford filly Golden Microphone, our homebred full-sister to our multiple stakes winner Opening Buzz, made her second career start a winning one in the 6th race at Santa Anita.

Drawing post six in the field of nine fillies and mares, she zipped out of the gate and was quickly joined by two inside speedsters. Pressing from second, she drew even with the leader around the turn of the six furlong turf dash. Racing a little greenly at the top of the stretch, jockey Kyle Frey got her mind back on business in the final furlong and she drew away to win comfortably by nearly two lengths.

Third in her debut over the main track, Golden Microphone is trained by Jonathan Wong. She is out of the Unbridled’s Song mare, Open Mic.
