Don’t Unzip Me in Frontrunning Maiden Special Weight Victory

Albany, CA (May 15, 2020) – On the second day of racing’s return to Golden Gate Fields, Tommy Town Thoroughbreds Don’t Unzip Me found the winner’s circle with a frontrunning maiden special weight score in the 3rd race on the card.

Finishing second last out over the all weather, the Honor Code filly had never tried two turns on the turf and she found it well to her liking. Breaking sharply, she established a clear lead with out pressure around the first turn and down the backstretch. The challenge came going into the far turn and it lasted until midstretch. Never willing to give up her lead, Don’t Unzip Me put away her challenger and boldly opened up to win by a length and one-half as the favorite.

Produced by the multiple stakes winning City Zip mare, Unzip Me, the 3-year-old was bred in Kentucky by the partnership of Harris Farms, Inc., Don Valpredo, and Martin Jones.
