Auburn, WA (May 20, 2021) – Daffodil Sweet, the 4-year-old daughter of Ministers Wild Cat, made her seasonal debut a winning one and took her record to four wins in five starts in the feature race at Emerald Downs, a six furlong allowance over the fast track.
Daffodil Sweet used her natural early foot to vie for the early lead through an opening quarter in 22.09. She had opened a clear advantage passing the half in 44.54. She continued on her merry way through the stretch and came home as the chart said, “with complete authority” to win by three lengths. She stopped the timer in 1:09.01.
Daffodil Sweet, who was second in the only start that didn’t end with a visit to the winner’s circle, races for the partnership of One Horse Will Do Corporation and Steve Shimizu. Trained by Chris Stenslie, she was bred in California by Terry Michael. The stakes-winning filly was produced by the winning Lion Heart mare, Easy On My Heart.
