Crash Corrigan Lands Santa Anita Allowance Victory

Arcadia, CA (February 5, 2022) – Crash Corrigan, the 4-year-old son of Grazen, left no doubt he is one game racehorse with his victory in the $72,500 allowance carded as the 9th race today at Santa Anita.

A full field of twelve lined-up for the six and one-half furlong contest over the firm turf course. Crash Corrigan drew post four and while away cleanly, there was plenty of jostling entering the backstretch. Shuffled back to eighth, he was patiently ridden by Juan Hernandez along the inside. He closed in around the turn, but going around the field was not an option. Hernandez pointed him to narrow openings between opponents and Crash Corrigan didn’t hesitate to run through. He came flying late to dash past the leader and win by three-quarters of a length.

Crash Corrigan races for the partnership of his trainer Lorenzo Ruiz, Belico Racing LLC, and Felipe Carlos. He has won or placed in eleven of his sixteen career starts and he has earned $198,360. Produced by the multiple stakes-placed Afleet Alex mare, Shesabronxbomber, he was bred by Nick Alexander.
