Arcadia, CA (May 7, 2021) – Colt Fiction, the son of Ministers Wild Cat, gained his third victory of 2021 with a heady ride by Tiago Pereira in the feature race at Santa Anita, a six furlong allowance with a purse of $70,000.

Sitting several lengths away from the zippy pace duel up front, Colt Fiction began to close in as the field entered into the far turn. Pereira chose to wait for room to open up inside and as the leader drifted out at the top of the stretch, he asked Colt Fiction to thread the needle. He did so without hesitation and the race was on to the wire. Tommy Town-bred Loud Mouth went wide to offer a strong closing kick of his own, but Colt Fiction had plenty left to outrun him to the wire.
