Back-to-Back Wins for Tommy Town Homebreds at Golden Gate

Albany, CA (May 15, 2022) – Tommy Town Thoroughbreds homebreds Heaven Shines and Keepmeinthe Moment visited the winner’s circle one right after the other with victories in the 2nd and 3rd races at Golden Gate Fields.

Heaven Shines, the 3-year-old son of Stanford struck first in the six furlong allowance over the all weather. Tracking a rapid pace up front from third, he drew closer around the turn and began his serious challenge at the top of the stretch. He caught the leader with a furlong to go and opened up late to win by two and one-half lengths.

Heaven Shines was produced by the stakes-placed Speightstown mare, Light Up the Sky, who was also bred and raced by Tommy Town.

Keepmeinthe Moment broke her maiden last out and she earned her second win in three career starts with her wire-to-wire romp. First out of the gate, he was pressured, but never headed. She shook off her foes and kept a two length advantage through the stretch to win by that clear margin.

Keepmeinthe Moment was produced by the stakes-winning Master Command mare, Belleofthebeach. The daughter of Candy Ride and her stablemate are both trained by Jonathan Wong.
