Albany, CA (January 23, 2021) – Babe Didrikson, the 5-year-old Grazen mare, was last early and first when it counted in the nightcap at Golden Gate Fields, a one mile allowance over the all weather surface.
Showing no early speed, Babe Didrikson circled the field five wide around the final turn and into the stretch. She took over inside the final furlong and drew away to win by a length and three-quarters.
She has finished first or second in ten of her career starts and she has earned $138,190. She races for Phillip Paine and is trained by Jose Bautista. Bred in California by Nick Alexander, she is out of the stakes-placed Bartok mare, Chelcee’s Hope.
